PDF Specifications

The quality of a browsable publication largely depends on the quality of the PDF file. Here are some tips for optimal results:

Source file
The supplied file must be in PDF format 1.6 or lower due to: possible transparency issues on higher versions. The images used must have a resolution of at least 150 ppi. This is to maintain sharpness when enlarging.

Compound
The file must be structured as single-file/multi-page (All pages in one PDF file). The document must have an even number of pages.

Page settings
The PDF file must be delivered 'clean' (without bleeds and crop marks)

Page size
All pages must be the same size. A suitable size for displaying your document is A5 to A3 (portrait or landscape). But it is also possible to present square pages.

For all formats, readability depends on the design of the document. Preferably use letters of at least 12 pixels.

Color setting
CMYK or RGB
